Hailing from Southern California & Arizona, Michelle is, happily, a recent Texas transplant. Having served in the Navy medical field as a Hospital Corpsman, primarily caring for mothers and infants in both antepartum and postpartum settings, she developed a love for physiology and health. Her love for yoga was ignited during this time, when she attended several psychologist-led trauma-focused classes. Determined to bring the self-compassion and peace she experienced through yoga to others, she left active duty in 2019 and immediately entered her 200-hour registered yoga teacher training. Then, she went with her husband to Spain for a three-year tour during which she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Christian counseling emphasis. Michelle has taught yoga in both one-on-one settings and in community groups. Her experience and education have developed into a unique yoga which is both anatomically- and spiritually-focused. Her specialties are Yin and Hatha, with a focus on meditation and pranayama. In her classes, you can expect to begin with setting your san kalpa, practicing pranayama, moving through intentional poses with integrity, and ending with a traditional savasana followed by a short meditation.
